  • 7/20/08 Day 37 The intercooler piping gets fabricated and installed. Just need some couplers and t-bolt clamps
  • 7/21/08 Day 38 Trouble rears its ugly head...The gas tank won't vent air while filling with gas. Can you say "gas bath"? Tank has to come out! Small problem though, the exhaust, the rear diff, and crossmember has to come out first.
  • The first picture is of how the tank came off the donor car with all the carbon canister lines. Second picture is what I originally thought how it should be re-routed. Notice the vent line next to the fill spout.
  • Here is my second attempt at venting the gas tank. Tanks goes back in. Gas pukes back out, again.
  • 7/24/08 Day 39 So after sleeping on it for a couple of days and looking at the donor donor car fill spout. I figured it out! Remeber that little vent next to the fill spout? It too needs to be vented to the spout like the main vent line. so the donor car fill pipe gets reomved and the little vent pipe gets cut off and welded onto the L's fill pipe. It all gets assembled and no more gas baths! Crossmember, diff, and exhaust go back in.
  • 7/25/08 Day 40 Moving on, Intercooler gets a coat of sleeper flat black and the lights harnesses get spliced. The intercooler tubes are ready for bead rolling.
  • 7/26/08 thru 7/29/08 Days 41, 42, & 43 The light harness splicing gets finished, intercooler piping installed and tightened, fluids topped off, ECU Map tweaked and uploaded, and it the engine starts up and run for while. WOO HOO! Now just need to align the car and install the body parts and lights.
  • 7/30/08Day 45 The SEBARU hits the road for the first time!!!!!!!!!
